Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has offered his former side some advice on how to compete with Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City in the Premier League title race. The Blues are currently sixth in the standings, six points off the league leaders.

They had an excellent start to the campaign and were fourth in the table before their Liverpool clash last weekend. The 2-1 defeat saw the Blues move down the table while the league leaders remained at the top.

Liverpool have won seven of their first eight fixtures, displaying excellent form so far under Arne Slot. The Reds are a point ahead of second-placed Manchester City, while Arsenal trail four points behind in third.

The three sides battled it out in a heated title race last season. However, Liverpool and Arsenal fell short as Pep Guardiola's side defended their title for a record fourth consecutive season.

Speaking in an interview with GIVEMESPORT, Drogba discussed how cut-throat the Premier League is and what the Blues must do to get back to the top. He said:

"First of all, I think the league is not easy. They will need to focus on the league and make sure that they perform because it is a very demanding one, but when you play at the highest level, you need to be ready for everything.
"That is what it takes to become one of the greatest: to be able to really face every challenge, prepare for the biggest competitions and perform, which is not easy to do. That is why only a few of these players are so called the best."

Drogba won four Premier League titles during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Florent Malouda backs Chelsea to challenge Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City in PL title race if they make one crucial signing

Former Chelsea star Floren Malouda has urged the Blues to sign Napoli's Victor Osimhen. He believes the Nigerian forward's addition will help the west Londoners compete in the title race.

Osimhen was heavily linked with an exit in the summer amid interest from Arsenal and Chelsea. However, a transfer to the Premier League never materialized as the Napoli striker joined Galatasaray on loan for the season.

Malouda has advised the west Londoners to secure his services in the January transfer window. The Frenchman claims that his signing would bring Chelsea closer to Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City's level.

He said (via Metro):

"We almost signed Victor Osimhen in the summer, and he is the type of player that would add extra quality to this team. If there is an opportunity to bring him in in January, then I think the club has to look at it.
"Chelsea should be competing for the world’s best players. Osimhen is in that category. You want to see the club add more quality to its team because that is what every ambitious club does, and his addition would bring Chelsea a step closer to the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal."
