Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has named teammate Mohamed Salah as the best player he has played with. The Englishman praised Salah's consistency in training and on the pitch.
Speaking to The Mirror, Trent picked Salah as his best-ever teammate, hailing him as a hard worker. He added that the Liverpool forward wanted to break every record possible and said:
"Just his consistency, from the minute he first came in to this very day. The consistency, he's never dropped, ever. I think it's remarkable what he goes and does and achieves, and a testament to his hard work and to his dedication to the game and to his craft that I'm able to witness on a daily basis. Just that relentless drive of pushing himself day by day to get better and improve and break every record in sight."
When asked who was the greatest player of all time, Trent Alexander-Arnold quickly named Lionel Messi. He claimed the Argentine often left him speechless with his performances.
Trent Alexander-Arnold heaped praise on Liverpool teammate last year as well
Trent Alexander-Arnold spoke to beIN Sports last year and was full of praise for Mohamed Salah. While saying the numbers he puts up as remarkable, he especially noted the Liverpool star's work ethic.
He said (via GOAL):
"It's probably the people who see him on a day-to-day, who see the work that goes into it, the way he applies himself to the game, the respect he's got for the game is the true testament to what he's achieved. The goals, the assists and the numbers will always speak for themselves but when I'm hopefully old enough and lucky enough to have kids and grandkids, its not the goals and assists I'll talk about, it will be the way he applied himself and the inspiration he was to the players around him and the role model and leader he was."
Trent Alexander-Arnold has played 277 matches with Mohamed Salah – the highest number of games the Egyptian has played with any of his teammates. Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson comes in second with 276 games.
