AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan has said that "there is no problem" with Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe ahead of their clash in the UEFA Champions League today. The pair are international teammates, representing the French national team together across 21 games.
Mbappe joined Los Blancos from his native France this summer. He enjoyed a legendary run with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) that saw him become their all-time highest goalscorer with 256 goals from 308 appearances across competitions.
Speaking with Mundo Deportivo ahead of AC Milan's clash with the Champions League holders on Tuesday night (November 5), Maignan hailed his international teammate, saying :
“There is no problem with Kylian. We always talk together. He is a quality player, we know that. It is a bit of a difficult moment for him, but we know that all great players perform well when they are asked to perform.”
He concluded by drawing attention to the game, adding:
“Tomorrow’s game is a great opportunity for us. It’s not going to be a normal game, it’s special. We’re going to have to do what we always do and I want to contribute to getting a positive result.”
This will be Real Madrid's first game since their 4-0 loss to Barcelona in LaLiga at the end of last month. Los Blancos will be keen to make a statement and make amends in front of their fans.
"He had three or four chances to score and needed a better finishing touch" - Real Madrid manager laments Kylian Mbappe's finishing

After the match, Ancelotti lamented the Frenchman's poor performance. He said in the post-match press conference via the Metro:
"We knew that they played with a high line, and we just couldn't take advantage of it, Sometimes (Mbappe) fell offside, but he had three or four chances to score and needed a better finishing touch."
Kylian Mbappehas has bagged eight goals and two assists in 14 games across competitions.
