Al-Nassr and Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo recently told YouTube sensation MrBeast that his children are huge fans of his YouTube channel. The pair collaborated for a second video on their respective channels, which has generated over 8 million views within an hour of going online.
Cristiano Ronaldo created a YouTube channel UR Cristiano earlier this year and quickly saw his account grow with tens of millions of followers. Despite this rapid growth, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is still some way from catching MrBeast. He has the most subscribers on YouTube with over 333 million, at the time of writing.
Last week, Ronaldo had MrBeast appear on his channel as he attempted to "break the Internet", with the pair promising a second installment of the collaboration. They also recently took to the football pitch to carry out some challenges on their respective channels. During the video, the Al-Nassr man pointed out that his children were of the opinion that MrBeast is better than him at YouTube. Ronaldo said (via UR Cristiano at 2:10):
“When I started doing the YouTube channel, my kids didn’t believe it. They always speak about you. At first they didn’t believe me, then they said, ‘Daddy, MrBeast is better than you’."
James 'MrBeast' Donaldson has accrued the most subscribers of any YouTube account ever. Cristiano Ronaldo, on the other hand, has 70.1 million subscribers, far less than the 26-year-old American's number.
The pair uploaded their videos at nearly the same time onto their channels for their subscribers. At the time of writing, Ronaldo's has garnered around 2.4 million views in two hours while MrBeast's has garnered around 6.8 million views.
Cristiano Ronaldo keeps up fine form for Al-Nassr
Cristiano Ronaldo has continued to produce goods on the pitch for Al-Nassr despite his off-the-pitch endeavors with his YouTube channel UR Cristiano. The 39-year-old netted twice for his club to lead them to a 2-0 win over Damac in the Saudi Pro League on November 29.
Fresh from scoring against Al-Gharafa in midweek, Ronaldo opened the scoring after 17 minutes of their league tie from the penalty spot. He then rounded off the scoring in the 70th minute with a fine finish from inside the box to seal the win.
Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored 915 career goals following his brace against Damac to lead his side to a deserved victory. The former Real Madrid man has nine goals and two assists in 11 league appearances this season.
