Journalist David Lynch has claimed that Liverpool are interested in signing Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton in the summer transfer window. The news comes in with the Reds searching for a number six as Watarru Endo remains the only option in that position.

The England international has impressed in his short spell in the Premier League after joining the Eagles in February 2024 for a reported fee of £22.5million. Since then, he's made 16 appearances in the English top flight for his current employers, bagging three assists.

Speaking about how the Merseyside outfit are keeping tabs on the 20-year-old holding midfielder, Lynch told Born 'n Red (via The Boot Room):

"Adam Wharton is definitely someone Liverpool have watched. They've liked him in the past."

According to this report, it is claimed that interested suitors will have to pay £60 million to get the deal across the line this summer. Currently, the former Blackburn Rovers star has five years left on his contract at Selhurst Park.

Should the Reds pursue their interest in Wharton, it would seem like a no-brainer for the player to complete a move to Anfield. This would be a huge step in his career, and it seems like he would be guaranteed minutes, with only Endo left to compete with for that position.

Of course, Liverpool are also set to challenge for the Premier League title this season after finishing third in the previous campaign. They will be offering Champions League football as well.

Liverpool are reportedly now interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich this summer (via The Hard Tackle). This news comes in with Football Insider revealing that Wataru Endo could potentially be sold to Marseille in the ongoing transfer window.

This would leave the Reds without an out-and-out number six, which could cause panic among the club's fanbase. Of course, Kimmich would be a brilliant option and shouldn't be too expensive of a purchase, with only a year left on his deal at the Allianz Arena.

Moreover, the Germany international is an experienced player who can also cover the right-back position when needed. To date, he's made 390 appearances across competitions for the Bavarian outfit, bagging 42 goals and 104 assists.

Kimmich has managed to win eight Bundesliga titles and one UEFA Champions League trophy, among others with Bayern Munich.
