Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes took to social media to react as Jude Bellingham scored a stunning overhead kick for England in their 2-1 EURO 2024 Round of 16 extra time win over Slovakia in Gelsenkirchen on Sunday (June 30). Slovakia scored early and nearly hung on before Bellingham intervened.

Although Gareth Southgate's men were widely expected to see off their opponents and secure an easy passage to the quarterfinals, it was not easy. They dominated proceedings, but a first-half goal from Slovakia put them on the back foot quickly.

Ivan Schranz put his poked effort on target, beyond the reach of goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. Chances came few and far between for England to equalise, but Phil Foden did just that early in the second half, putting the ball in the back of the net, but it was ruled out for offside.

It took up till the 95th minute for Jude Bellingham to become the star of the day with an overhead kick that handed the Three Lions a much needed equaliser. The beautiful goal saw legendary NFL quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady react on social media.

Patrick Mahomes posted the single word:

"Crazy!!!!"

Tom Brady could hardly contain himself, posting:

"Jude"

The goal was enough to push the game to extra time, where the Three Lions overpowered their opponents. Barely a minute into extra time, Harry Kane headed in to secure the win in their EURO 2024 Round of 16 clash.

Manchester United legend warns Jude Bellingham to maintain form for England at EURO 2024

Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has warned Jude Bellingham about keeping up his form after the 21-year-old struggled against Slovenia.

England managed a subpar peformance in their final EURO 2024 group game, and Bellingham was one of those who didn't impress.

That concerned Rooney, particularly with the Real Madrid midfielder's body language, as he explained in his column for The Times (via 90min):

"What I saw left me worried. Jude's body language told you a lot. I've been there. I know exactly the position he's in. I found myself in that headspace many times in international football, and at certain points in my club career.

"I just hope the frustration doesn't boil over to the point where he gets a red card or does something stupid and gets himself injured. Against Slovenia, it looked as if he was getting close."

When Jude Bellingham faced Slovakia in the EURO 2024 Round of 16 outing, he impressed with his overhead kick to keep England going. He will hope to maintain this form when they face Switzerland in the quarterfinals in Dusseldorf on July 6.
