Belgium revived their Euro 2024 campaign with a 2-0 defeat of Romania in their second group fixture on Saturday (June 22). But fans were worried about Romelu Lukaku after the striker endured more tough luck.

Youri Tielemans and Kevin De Bruyne were the scorers for the Red Devils on the night as Domenico Tedesco's side brushed off their opening day loss to Slovakia to climb to the top of Group E.

In the 63rd minute, Lukaku had the ball in the back of the net, but following a VAR review, he was deemed offside in the build-up, and the goal was ruled out.

Since the start of the tourmament, this is the third time the AS Roma hitman saw a goal disallowed by the VAR. It's more than any other player at UEFA Euro 2024.

With 14 goals in the qualifiers, Lukaku was the most prolific scorer and was touted to repeat the feat at the main event too, but he has been unable to score in two games.
