Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has admitted that his contract dilemma is still on his mind after he inspired the Reds to a 2-0 win against Manchester City. The two sides clashed in the Premier League at Anfield on Sunday, December 1.

Salah's exceptional start to the season continued as he pulled the strings during Liverpool's impressive win against Manchester City. The Egyptian King provided a smart assist for Cody Gakpo's opening goal (12') and dispatched a penalty (78') to score in his sixth consecutive Premier League game.

However, much to the fans' chagrin, Salah has still not been offered a new deal with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season. As it stands, the 32-year-old can negotiate with other clubs starting in January and could potentially depart Anfield as a free agent in the summer.

Following the City win, Salah was asked for a contract update to which he replied (via @FabrizioRomano):

“Honestly… it's in my head. Until now this is the last Man City game I will play for Liverpool, so I was just going to enjoy it. I will enjoy every second here. Hopefully we just win the league and will see what will happen."

Salah's exit would be a massive loss for the Reds. He has scored 224 goals and provided 100 assists in 369 appearances across competitions, helping the club win seven trophies.

"This is just world-class" - Gary Neville hails Liverpool's Mohamed Salah following 2-0 win against Manchester City

Manchester United legend Gary Neville waxed lyrical about Mohamed Salah after witnessing the latter's assist for Cody Gakpo in the 12th minute. The Reds went on to seal a dominant 2-0 win against Manchester City at Anfield.

Salah was played down the right wing by Trent Alexander-Arnold. The 32-year-took his time at the edge of the box before curving a low cross that dissected City's defense and goalkeeper, enabling Gakpo to tap home.

Neville told Sky Sports (via Rousing the Kop):

“This is just world-class. That is unbelievable from Mo Salah. He looks up, he looks up, Akanji is nowhere near, he doesn’t try to block it off, Ortega can’t get there. Kyle Walker at the back post doesn’t even know Gakpo is there but don’t take anything away from the fact that is vision, brilliance and precision from Salah to spot that pass.”

Salah has garnered 13 goals and 11 assists in 20 appearances across all competitions this season for Liverpool.
