Pep Guardiola on Manchester City's 2-0 loss against Juventus in the UCL
Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola shared his thoughts on his side losing 2-0 against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League.
After the match, the Spanish manager backed his players despite the defeat, saying via City's official website:
"We played really, really good, we missed the last pass and action. We conceded a few, but some transition it happens. I am really proud of these players. They gave everything and they tried. Hopefully we can change the results."
Manchester City are 22nd on the UEFA Champions League table with eight points. Addressing their delicate stand in the competition, Guardiola added:
"I know it is difficult in the Champions League. We have two games left, the last one at home. When you go Sporting Lisbon in that moment, and Turin and Paris, our three games away were really really tough. You have to accept it."
"When we turn things around we will not forget that period. We will appreciate it more what we have done in the past, and what we are going to do in the future. For now, let’s continue to do it," added Pep Guardiola.
Pep Guardiola's side maintained a ball possession of 69 percent against Juventus while having three shots on target and creating one big chance.
