The Best FIFA Men's XI for 2024 has been released, with superstars like Vinicius Jr, Lamine Yamal, Rodri, and Erling Haaland making the team. Vinicius won The Best Men's Player of the Year award, with Ballon d'Or winner Rodri finishing in second place.

Emiliano Martinez got the goalkeeper spot after his impressive performances helped Argentina win Copa America 2024 in the summer. He is the only Argentine and Aston Villa player in the XI.

William Saliba was picked in defense, thanks to his quality at the back for Arsenal, which helped them finish second in the Premier League last season. He is lined up alongside Manchester City centre-back Ruben Dias, who helped the Cityzens beat the Gunners to the league title.

Beside them are Real Madrid teammates Antonio Rudiger and Dani Carvajal, who were instrumental in Los Blancos' three trophy wins in the 2023-24 season. They won La Liga, the UEFA Champions League, and the Supercopa de Espana.

In midfield, their teammate Jude Bellingham is flanked by the now-retired Toni Kroos. Both players were part of Real Madrid's glorious season. The third player in midfield is Rodri, who helped Man City win the Premier League and helped Spain win Euro 2024.

Erling Haaland leads the line after his goal-scoring efforts helped Manchester City to the Premier League title. He is flanked by Vinicius Jr, who was part of Real Madrid's brilliant contingent last season, and Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, whose electric performances helped Spain with Euro 2024.

Vinicius Jr named The Best FIFA Men's Player for 2024

After a remarkable season for Real Madrid, where he scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists in 39 appearances, Vinicius Jr was named The Best FIFA Men's Player of the Year.

After receiving the award from FIFA president Gianni Infantino in Doha, Vinicius said (via FIFA):

“I don't even know where to begin. It was so far away that it seemed impossible to get here... Getting here is something very important to me. I'm doing it for many children who think that everything is impossible and who think they can't get here."

Vinicius Jr and Real Madrid will take to the pitch on Wednesday (December 18) as they face Mexican club CF Pachuca in the Intercontinental Cup final. The match will take place at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar.
