Both Turkiye and Portugal are at 3 points in Group F after their first game. A win for either team will not only guarantee qualification into the playoffs but also place them at the top of the group. In such an important clash, Vincenzo Montella has taken the call to bench the team's starlet Arda Guler.

The 19-year-old Real Madrid prodigy was one of the star performers in Turkiye's Euro 2024 opener against Georgia. He produced an immaculate left-footed curler that beat the goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili and made it 2-1 for the Turkish side.

Montello cited fatigue as the reason to start Guler from the bench.
