Fans online lashed out at Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson for getting sent off in their 2-2 draw with Fulham in the Premier League at Anfield on Saturday. The Scotsman display was branded a 'hall of shame performance', with fans calling him 'atrocious' and claiming he's 'done at the top level'.
The 2024-25 campaign is Robertson's eighth season at Anfield. A dedicated servant of the club, he has made 317 appearances for the Reds across all competitions with 11 goals and 66 assists.
However, due to a slew of injuries, he has been struggling for consistency and form since the start of the 2023-24 campaign. His latest red card on Saturday, the second one in his Liverpool tenure, left fans on X worried and frustrated.

"F***ing hell robbo. My head is boiling rn. We can't win the league with this player and lack of another quality holding MF (midfielder)."
Here is a selection of fan reactions (via X):
"It’s hurts me to say, but Robbo is done at this top level. He’s very lucky that his competition for his position is Kostas Tsimikas, who is even worse," @TomL1ttle_ opined.
"As much as I’m disappointed with dropping points I’m just as happy with the fight and character these lads showed playing with 10 men for 75 mins. Probs could of won it too. Robbo was a disaster today though, that left back position has to be adressed. Still fighting for RedMen," @Andyc1178 wrote.
"That hall of shame performance was perfect encapsulation what Andrew Robertson has been for the past couple of years as a player. He's 'Robbo' though," @ChristopherHPE sarcastically remarked.
"I love Robbo but he has been atrocious this season, we should have a LB in on the 1st of Jan. But can see it again now, just needing a little push with some new bodies and no investment again," @S_Longy11 wrote.
"That foul by Robbo was just another day I'm afraid. He has no consistency anymore and blows hot and cold, needs replacing I'm afraid which is sad as he's been a fantastic servant," @17Sons_ claimed.
"Actually can’t fault the 10 men. It was a good performance otherwise Robbo’s absolute madness," @PAkinmosa wrote.
"Robbo is finished sadly," @mo_mamaniat1 wrote.
"Robbo is so sh*t honestly we’re better off without him on the pitch," @KTG_LFC wrote.
Despite the result, Liverpool sit atop the Premier League standings with 36 points after 15 rounds of fixtures (11 wins, three draws, one loss).
"It says a lot about his character" - Liverpool manager Arne Slot makes claim about Andy Robertson after his red card vs Fulham
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has opened up on left-back Andy Robertson's straight red card in the 17th minute of their draw with Fulham.
French defender Issa Diop landed a hard tackle on the Scotsman in the second minute of the game. While the offender was reprimanded, Robertson was not in good shape, struggling for pace against Fulham's explosive Welsh winger Harry Wilson.
Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, the Dutch tactician praised his defender's determination to carry on but lamented the red card. He said (via Liverpool World):
"I think Robbo might have been a bit too injured to keep going because normally he's faster than that. It says a lot about his character that he wants to keep on going but it results in a red card."
Up next, Liverpool will take on Southampton away in the quarterfinal of the EFL Cup on Wednesday, December 18.
