Journalist Alberto Pereiro has claimed that Kylian Mbappe will be out for 10 days after Real Madrid confirmed that the Frenchman has sustained a thigh injury in his left leg. Mbappe was subbed off before half-time during their Champions League match against Atalanta on Tuesday due to some discomfort.
After the match, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti said Kylian Mbappé’s injury wasn’t serious, claiming it’s an overload. Tests carried out on the player by Los Blancos confirmed the thigh injury.
Following the update about Mbappe’s situation from Real Madrid, Onda Cero journalist Alberto Pereiro has reported that the Frenchman is expected to be out for 10 days.
This means Kylian Mbappe will sit out Real Madrid’s La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday, December 14. He is also a doubt for the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Final set to be played on December 18 at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar. Madrid qualified for the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Final after they won the Champions League last season.
