Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has asserted that he is confident about his side's quality ahead of the Gunners' Premier League home encounter against Manchester United on Wednesday (December 4).
The Gunners, who finished second last season, are currently on a fine run of form. They have registered three back-to-back wins in their last three games across competitions, scoring 13 goals and conceding four goals in the process.
Manchester United, on the other hand, have started their new era under ex-Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim on a great note. They have won two and drawn one of their last three overall outings, netting eight goals and shipping three.
Speaking recently to Sky Sports, Havertz provided his thoughts on their upcoming opponents and claimed that he is unconcerned about the Red Devils' new-look system. The Arsenal star remarked (h/t Mirror):
"Erik ten Hag was there for a couple of years and, obviously, when a new manager comes in, they change their style of play, they change their system, they change their players so there are going to be a lot of different things on the pitch now."
Havertz, who left Chelsea to join Arsenal in 2023, concluded:
"But I think for us, the main thing is to focus on ourselves. We believe in our strengths and we want to play our best game. When we play our best game, I think nothing can stop us and that's what we want to do."
Mikel Arteta's outfit boast a stellar head-to-head record against the Old Trafford team. They have registered seven victories, two draws, and just two defeats in their last 11 games across all competitions against their next opponents.
Ruben Amorim claims Manchester United new boy could make debut in clash against Arsenal
Earlier this July, Manchester United signed young centre-back Leny Yoro in a switch worth up to £59 million from LOSC Lille. However, the 19-year-old has yet to make his debut for the club after picking up a foot injury in the pre-season.
At a pre-match press conference, Ruben Amorim suggested that the Frenchman could be in line to feature in Manchester United's upcoming league clash at Arsenal. He said (h/t BBC):
"Maybe [he] is going be in the squad. I feel he is in a good moment now, his fitness is better. He is a special talent, we have to be careful in the first moment. We didn't have too many training [sessions] together. He has been training with a small group of players."
Yoro, who made 60 overall appearances for Lille before his exit, was allegedly linked with the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid earlier this summer.
