Liverpool have confirmed that Alexis Mac Allister will serve his suspension against Fulham on Saturday, December 14, after their Premier League clash against Everton was postponed. The Merseyside derby was scheduled for December 7, but had to be postponed on safety grounds due to severe weather caused by Storm Darragh.
Alexis Mac Allister picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in Liverpool's Premier League clash against Newcastle United on December 4 at St. James' Park, which led to an automatic one-match ban. The Argentine midfielder was booked for committing a foul on Magpies' defender Fabian Schar in the 20th minute of the 3-3 draw on Wednesday.
Mac Allister became the first Liverpool player to receive five Premier League bookings in the ongoing campaign, with Ibrahima Konate and Ryan Gravenberch both currently on four. The former Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder was supposed to serve his suspension in the Merseyside derby.
Liverpool have confirmed that Mac Allister will be excluded from their match against Fulham in the Premier League at Anfield on December 14. The 25-year-old will also miss the Reds' clash against Girona in the UEFA Champions League on December 10, at Estadi Montilivi.
Mac Allister picked up his third yellow card of the ongoing Champions League campaign in the Reds' 2-0 win against Real Madrid on November 27, where he netted the first goal.
Given the back-to-back suspensions, Alexis Mac Allister is expected to return to the pitch for the Reds' meeting with Southampton in the Carabao Cup on December 18. He has registered two goals in 21 appearances across competitions for the Reds so far this season.
Liverpool reportedly considering Juventus prodigy as replacement for Mohamed Salah
Liverpool are reportedly interested in making a move for Juventus teenager Kenan Yildiz, who is considered a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah. The 32-year-old Egyptian star's current contract at Anfield is set to expire in the summer of 2025.
Kenan Yildiz, meanwhile, has attracted attention with his performances for Juventus. The 19-year-old has started 16 of his 20 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A side while registering four goals and three assists this season.
According to Caught Offside, the Reds are keeping track of Kenan Yildiz's development at Juventus. However, they could face competition from Arsenal, Manchester United, Aston Villa, and Borussia Dortmund.
Juventus, however, are reportedly unwilling to letting go of the young Turkish talent and the forward himself is also reportedly content in Turin. The 19-year-old forward is valued at over £66 million, as per reports.
