Hollywood superstar Will Smith has revealed how Lionel Messi behaved on the set of a recent Bad Boys promotional shoot. The Argentine maestro made a cameo in a promo video for the movie franchise starring Smith and Martin Lawrence.

La Pulga is known for his skills and mastery of the ball on the pitch but the Blaugrana icon is known to be quiet and private off it. It was a pleasant surprise for fans to see him appear and speak off the pitch in the video.

Will Smith gushed about the legendary Argentine in an interview when asked about his time on set with him, saying (via Mirror):

“Messi is fantastic, He doesn't do stuff like [acting in the trailer], so it's really interesting when you see somebody who is world-class in the thing that they do, and then they get that little kid smile doing something [new].”

The A-lister concluded:

“He loved being on the set working and doing pieces. We shot a bunch of social pieces, which was like a relief for him. He just loved playing in that world. He's fun to watch.”

Lionel Messi will turn his attention back to football, with the Copa America starting soon. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are already on the big screen with their new movie, which released on June 5 and continues the adventures of the legendary cop duo of Mike Lowry (Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Lawrence).

What did Lionel Messi do in the Bad Boys promotional video with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence?

In the promotional video, Smith and Lawrence's characters answer the doorbell to find none other than Lionel Messi in a white tee shirt, grinning and saying:

“Bad boys?"

The pair tell the World Cup winner he is at the wrong address before shutting the door. The promotional video ends with La Pulga smiling and saying:

“Wrong casa. Mucho gusto. [Wrong house. Nice to meet you]," Smith and Lawrence respond.

The clip is short but funny and shows the Argentine is continuing to build his brand through different projects in the US.
