"They say I'm finished, that I'm only here for the money" - Cristiano Ronaldo hits back at critics for Saudi Arabia move
Cristiano Ronaldo recently hit back at critics who slammed his move to Saudi Arabia and claimed that the Portuguese star moved for the money. The legendary forward spent most of his career representing some of the biggest clubs in Europe - Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.
Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in 2023 after he clashed with then-Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag, which led to the mutual termination of his contract.
Speaking about his time in Saudi Arabia in the Netflix documentary 'Saudi Pro League: Kickoff,' Ronaldo said (via GOAL):
“I came here to win, to make the league better. I want to leave a legacy. That's what I want. They say I'm finished, that I'm only here for the money... I still feel the passion. They don't believe it, but I'm here to win.”
Cristiano Ronaldo has been impressive for Al-Nassr since he arrived at the club and now sits in fourth place in the club's all-time goalscorer's charts. His side is in third place in the league and will be keen to improve their standing in the division.
