Fans took to social media to heap praise on Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski for his remarkable performance in their 4-0 win over Barbastro. The Blaugrana took the trip to Gminny Stadion Sportowy for their Copa del Rey Round of 16 clash against Barbastro, and went home winners.

Lewandowski was easily one of the best players on the night (January 4), as he put the sword to the hosts' defense with two goals. Eric Garcia opened the scoring for Barca in the 21st minute, and 10 minutes later, Lewandowski doubled the score (31').

In the second half, the Polish marksman continued in fine form, scoring another goal mere minutes after the start of the half (47'). Pablo Torre, who provided the 36-year-old with the assists for his brace, scored the final goal in the 56th minute to clinch the win.

Hansi Flick discusses Barcelona players' return from injury

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick discussed about his players returning to fitness after a spell on the sidelines. This included Ronald Araujo, who did not play for Barca this season, until the match against Barbastro.

Ansu Fati, who has struggled with injury, also played in the Copa del Rey match, while Yamine Lamal did not partake in the game. Speaking after the win, Flick told the press about Araujo (via FCBN):

"Araujo has returned after a serious injury. He was able to play 90 minutes and you have seen his level. He has spoken on the field, he is one of our captains."

Regarding Fati, who played for only half an hour, Flick added:
