Arsenal agree deal to sell Laurent Koscielny
Laurent Koscielny's situation has been under the scanner ever since he refused to join the club on their pre-season tour. Arsenal's former captain wanted to return to his home country. However, the Gunners were not keen on letting him go.
Now they've changed their mind and have agreed a £4.6 million deal with Ligue 1 club Bordeaux. Unai Emery was reportedly very keen to keep Koscielny at Arsenal. However, the player remained insistent on a return home.
The report claims that Koscielny has reached Bordeaux's training ground to undergo his medical. The Frenchman, who was at Arsenal for 9 years, initially believed that the club would let him leave on a free transfer. Arsenal were against the idea and the two clubs couldn't agree to a fee.
But now with Koscielny's intentions known, Arsenal have decided to part with him. The report goes on to claim that Arsenal are looking to make one final swoop for a replacement for Koscielny before the transfer window shuts. They're looking at RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano and Juve's Daniele Rugani.
