Neymar Jr. is a Brazilian wonder boy who plays football. He is a winger and plays for League 1 representing Paris Saint-Germain. His full name is Neymar da Silva Santos Junior. He is one of the best players in the world. He is an all-round player full of dribbling, play-making, and goal-scoring skills.

He is a Champions League winner with FC Barcelona in 2014-15. Neymar created a huge buzz with his decision to leave Barcelona and sign for Paris-Saint Germain. His transfer fee was a whopping $222 million which is the highest transfer fee for any footballer. In less than half a way through his career, Neymar was a marketing heavyweight.

During his time with FC Barcelona, he became the only footballer back then to earn more off the pitch than being on it.

Neymar's Family

He was born to his mother Nadine Santos and a former Brazilian football player Neymar Santos Sr. He is now a businessman and entrepreneur. In Brazil, he is best known as the father of the famous football player Neymar Jr.

Neymar Jr. has a son named David Lucca da Silva. Neymar became a father at a very young age. Neymar also has a sister named Rafaella Santos.

Who is Neymar's Sister, Rafaella Santos?

Rafaella Santos is Neymar's younger sister born on March 11, 1996. Despite her brother being one of the most recognizable faces in the world, Rafaella herself has become somewhat of a style icon with a successful modeling career that has seen her gain over 5.5 million followers on Instagram.

Rafaella has contributed a lot of her time to the charity Instituto Neymar. It was set up by the Brazilian to help disadvantaged children in Praia Grande, São Paulo, near to where the siblings grew up.

Is Neymar in love with his sister?

The fact that Neymar and his sister share such a close bond has got people thinking if they are in love with each other. But that’s not true.

The two sharing tattoos of each other on their bodies have made their fans, and people make jokes about them. There’s also a thing called his sister’s birthday curse.

Does Neymar have a tattoo of his sister?

The Brazilian forward is so close with his sister, Rafaella Santos, that he has a permanent reminder of her on his body. Proving his love for his sister, Neymar proudly showed off a massive tattoo of her face that was inked on his right arm in the summer of 2015.

But their loving relationship is not just one-sided, as Rafaella returned the favor by getting a tattoo of her superstar brother's eyes on her left arm. As well as demonstrating their close bond on their bodies, the pair showcases their love on social media.

Rafaella never fails to motivate her brother on Twitter during his tough times.

What happened between Neymar and his sister?

Former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos once made light of the situation. "I like to play with the best and Neymar is one of them," he said, adding with a laugh: "What we would have to negotiate is his sister's birthday."

In 2015, the then-Barcelona star picked up his fifth booking of the season against Granada on February 28, meaning he was suspended for the match against Rayo Vallecano on March 8. Barca allowed him to travel to Brazil and he returned before their next game on March 14.

Neymar's sister's birthday seemingly carries a curse of bad luck for the winger on the pitch. In 2018, the Brazil captain missed a game for the fifth consecutive season around the time of her birthday.

In 2019, Neymar was injured for the majority of the second half of the season, including the whole month of March.

And in 2020, Neymar was sidelined with a rib injury in February of that year.
