Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo’s trademark sack celebration has become a regular sight on the football pitch. With 21 goals in 14 appearances this season, the Portuguese star has been demonstrating his signature move week in week out as he has been enjoying the form of his life.
But the celebration doesn’t seem to work for everyone, as it is turning out to be a season-finisher for NFL players. Lamarr Houston, a defensive end who plays in the NFL for Chicago Bears, tore his ACL on Monday while doing the sack celebration.
The injury will keep him out for the rest of the season. What was even worse was the fact that Houston celebrated while his team was trailing by 25 points.
This was the second injury that occurred due to the sack celebration after Detroit Lions linebacker Stephen Tulloch also tore his ACL against the Green Bay Packers. He will also miss the rest of the season.
