Nicklas Bendtner might just stay on at Arsenal longer than Arsenal fans would have expected.
The Danish international has had a terrible loan spell at Juventus. He tore a tendon on his hip muscle a few games into the season, came back and picked up another injury, laying him off for a while yet again. As he came on towards the end of the season, the Dane broke his wrist in Juventus’ game against Sampdoria.
The medics believe this should sideline the striker for almost two months, meaning he can’t be sold in the market unless some teams are willing to take the risk.
The striker is clearly unwanted by Arsene Wenger and Arsenal, with the Frenchman supposedly sanctioning a deal for Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic. The services of Auxerre’s Yaya Sanogo is also more-or-less secured.
If he does get fit, Wenger will hope that the Dane will take part in Arsenal’s pre-season tours and impress clubs.
