Niclas Bendtner’s move to Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt seems to have failed to materialised. Frankfurt chairman Heribert Bruchhagen revealed that the Denmark international is not a realistic prospect for the German side.
“After weighing up all the arguments, Bendtner turned out not to be a realistic prospect,” Bruchhagen said.
Bruchhagen also said that the failed deal has nothing to do with Bendtner’s current club Arsenal. Apparently, it was Bendtner’s wage demands that led to the deal’s failure.
Bruchhagen further added “Now it’s up to us. There are no problems with Arsenal. We have to see if it’s financially viable.”
Bendtner was reported to have traveled to Germany to talk out the deal where he made his wage demands.
The German side apparently does not want to spend much on the Denmark international as his performance was below par last season. Bendtner was on loan at Juventus last season where he failed to score.
