North Korean international striker Kim Song-Yong has joined I-League side Rangdajied United FC from Shillong until the end of the 2013/14 season. Song-Yong joins Rangdajied United from Thai Premier League side Nakhon Ratchasima FC.
Kim Song-Yong is a powerful 26 year old striker who is strong in the air and has excellent shooting ability. Song-Yong has represented North Korea at the Under-23 and senior national team levels bringing in international experience to Rangdajied United besides having the experience of having played in the J-League with Kyoto Sanga FC, having started his career with Korea University.
Song-Yong, after arriving in India said, “I am very happy and excited to finally have arrived in India. I look forward to repaying the faith showed in me by the Rangdajied United FC management. So my main focus will be to play well for the team, and have a successful season with Rangdajied United Football Club.”
FIFA Licensed Agent and Libero Sports Partner Arvind Narayan, who represented Kim Song-Yong in the transfer, said: “Kim is a young and powerful striker with a sharp nose for goal. He’s a quality addition to the Rangdajied United FC team, who will best utilize his strength and directness with their style of play for him to beat defenses and score goals.”
