Norway and Kazakhstan draw the curtains in Group B3 of the UEFA Nations League as they square off at the Ullevaal Stadion on Sunday. Both sides have endured a contrasting campaign, with Ståle Solbakken’s men looking to finish as group winners.
Norway picked up three huge points in their quest for automatic promotion into League A as they thrashed Slovenia 4-1 at the Stozice Stadium on Thursday.
Before that, Solbakken’s side suffered their first defeat of the 2024 Nations League campaign on October 13 when they were hammered 5-1 by Austria at the Raiffeisen Arena.
With 10 points from five matches, Norway are currently second in the Group B3 standings, only behind first-placed Austria on goal difference.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan continued to struggle for results at the bottom of the standings as they fell to a 2-0 loss against Austria at the Ortalyq Stadion on Thursday.
Stanislav Cherchesov’s men have now lost four straight games, conceding 10 goals and failing to find the back of the net since kicking off the campaign with a goalless draw against Norway on September 6.
Kazakhstan head into Sunday’s group finale without a win in nine matches across all competitions, losing eight and claiming one draw since a 2-0 friendly victory over Turkmenistan on March 14.
