Official: Manchester City complete signing of Marlos Moreno

Pep Guardiola has really upped the ante in terms of the players he wants at the club. After completing the signing of Gabriel Jesus only a few days back now Marlos Moreno has also joined the contingent at the club.

The 19-year-old becomes the 7^th signing since Pep took over in the summer following the likes of Ilkay Gundogan, Leroy Sane among others. The Colombian signed from Atletico Nacional but will immediately go back on loan.

The player spoke on the club’s official website after his move:

“City are one of the best clubs in the world. It will be nice to experience being part of such a big Club. I want to make the most of it. Pep Guardiola is one of the best managers in the world. I think he likes young players very much and he can improve young players tactically and technically. It will be great to work with him and to be part of a great team.”

Moreno is probably one for the future and understandably is going out back on loan. The forward has signed a 5-year deal, and is touted as one of the best players to come out of the country in recent times.

City Director of football Txiki Begiristain also spoke after the signing of the player:

“Marlos is an excellent prospect who has already broken into his national team. He's a versatile player, still learning, but we believe he has a fantastic future in the game and with City. He makes and scores goals and is an intelligent footballer, we're delighted to have signed him.”
