Oman and Saudi Arabia lock horns at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City on Tuesday in the first semi-final of the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup.
Going through the group stage unbeaten, the Reds cantered into the last-four by winning Group A with five points in three games. They drew with Kuwait and the UAE in a pair of 1-1 stalemates on either side of a 2-1 victory over Qatar.
It holds them in good stead now in the knockouts, as Rashid Jaber's side are just one match away from reaching the showpiece, two from their third title in the cup.
As for Saudi Arabia, the Greens brilliantly turned their fortunes around in the competition after starting off on a losing note to Bahrain. Since then, they fought back from a two-goal deficit to overcome Yemen 3-2 before scoring two late goals to beat Iraq 3-1.
With six points, Herve Renard's side finished second in Group B, trailing Bahrain on head-to-head record. They now face another important fixture in their quest for a first Gulf Cup crown since 2004.
