Oscar Cardozo’s agent has confirmed that the Benfica striker might make a move to the Premier League, as some top clubs there are showing real interest in him.
Manchester City are reportedly leading the race and monitoring the situation at Benfica following a bust-up between Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo with his boss Jorge Jesus.
His agent Pedro Aldave said, “Benfica know the situation and now the subject is in their hands. There’s always been interest from the Premier League — but this is real interest.”

City are believed to be searching a replacement for Carlos Tevez, and following the row between the Benfica striker and coach, they are setting their sights on the 30-year-old to replace Tevez at Etihad.
The Portuguese club value Cardozo at around £14.5million, but they might be prompted to let him go cheaply after Cardozo shoved his manager following a shock defeat by Guimaraes in the Portuguese Cup final.
Cardozo scored 33 goals for Benfica last season. Despite all his efforts, they just could not get over the line losing to Chelsea in the Europa League final.
