We are waiting to hear on his fitness ahead of Stoke tomorrow but surely now Oscar has made a case for a regular start in the side. So I am asking you the question this morning:
When should Oscar start games for Chelsea?
As usual in football, a lot is made of the age of a player. Oscar is only 21 and for most sides in the Premier League, he wouldn’t get anywhere near a regular start (even here at Chelsea), but it’s important to remember that he has been playing first team football in Brazil for four years!.
For the most part in recent years, Chelsea have been crying out for a creative midfielder. Time and time again Chelsea fans would have a whinge about the fact that we simply didn’t have anyone that could unlock the door from out of nowhere to unlock defences.
This season, Chelsea are now blessed with four or five players that can do exactly that and the biggest question will be who gets the regular start out of all of them?
Oscar is two footed (which makes a huge difference), has an eye for pass, for a flick and for a goal as we have all seen and without question has made a case to command a regular start.
What do you people think on Oscar? What position is his best in the current set up? Should he play like he did the other night behind the striker or should he play slightly deeper?
One thing is for sure and Di Matteo is right when he said after the game:
I think we are very lucky to have him in our team.
KTBFFH!
