L’Equipe has reported that Paris Saint Germain are set to give Zlatan Ibrahimovic a substantial increase in his pay rise, in an attempt to convince their star striker to stay with the club.
Ibrahimovic is linked to a move away from PSG, with clubs like Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester City interested in his services.
PSG, having made their intentions clear to win the champions league, are desperate to hold onto their big names. Both, Thiago Silva and Marco Verratti have agreed to improved terms with the club.
According to L’Equipe, Ibrahimovic’s annual wage is expected be increased by €2 million, making it €16 million a year. The 31-year-old, who is currently receiving €14 million per year, scored 30 goals in for PSG in Ligue 1 last season.
L’Equipe also revealed that PSG managing director Jean-Claude Blanc had a meeting with Ibrahimovic’s agent, Mino Raiola, last week and an official announcement is expected this weekend.
