Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is missing life at Juventus, according to his former Juventus team-mate, Paulo Dybala. The French midfielder left Serie A champions Juventus in the summer to re-join United where he spent his early years developing. The Frenchman joined the Manchester club after a world record £93.25m transfer deal after four years playing in Italy.

Dybala, Pogba’s friend and team-mate at Juventus, has said that he keeps in regular contact with the Frenchman. The pair played together in the 2015/16 campaign in Italy and Dybala insists that Pogba has a soft corner for his old Italian club.

"I'm still talking to Pogba," said Dybala in conversation with Corriere dello Sport.

"We are missing him for his quality on the pitch and his jokes in the dressing room,” he continued.

He also took a small dig at Manchester United’s current predicament, "However, he misses us as well. Just look at our position in the table and the one of Manchester United," he added.

Juventus have a four-point lead at the top of Serie A while Manchester United are 6th in the table, 13 points behind leaders Chelsea.

Pogba’s performance this season

Pogba has begun his United career in a rather stop-start fashion scoring five goals in 22 appearances including a recent goal in the Red Devils’ 2-1 win over Crystal Palace two days ago.

The French midfielder had come under intense scrutiny at the beginning of the season for his lack of goals and assists, however, he has made up some ground since then and his performances have temporarily stopped the incessant slating of the player in the media and social media.

Pogba even set up Zlatan Ibrahimovic to take his assist tally to three so far this season.

His manager Jose Mourinho was delighted with his performance saying that he was ‘phenomenal’ and also went on to praise Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s all-round play.

However, for many sections of Manchester United fans, there is still plenty to prove for Paul Pogba, who is expected to perform at a higher level, justify his hefty price-tag and help United get back to their title-winning ways.
