Paulinho optimistic about Bale staying at White Hart Lane

Brazilian international Paulinho hopes that Gareth Bale will change his mind about his decision to leave Tottenham Hotspur.

Bale has been heavily linked with a move away from White Hart Lane this summer as Real Madrid are willing to break the bank with a world record bid of £85 million for the winger.

Meanwhile, the Welsh international has also made his intentions clear that he would prefer to join Real Madrid.

Speaking to Fox Sports Brazil, Paulinho said,”I sincerely don’t know, but I think this is something more private for Bale, he doesn’t tell me anything.

“But I hope he continues with us, so that he can help us. He is a great player and achieved great stats last season, so I hope he stays with us.”

Delighted with receiving the Man of the Match award on his debut in a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace, the 25-year-old, said, “I am very happy with the win in the Premier League and also for getting the Man of the Match trophy on my debut.”
