Pepe Reina interested to join Barcelona

Napoli’s on-loan goalkeeper Reina during his team Champions League clash against Arsenal

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina who is on-loan to Serie A club Napoli has exclaimed his wish to join the Spanish giants Barcelona. The show-stopper is said to be looking for a permanent move away from the Premier League club by Summer next year.

Reina told RadioCatalunya , “I am happy that my name has been linked with Barcelona.But right now I’m focused on Napoli and doing well here.”

“In the summer, we’ll see what happens.

“There has been nothing established yet, but I think Barcelona will have a long list of eligible candidates to replace Valdes – should he leave.”

Reina was earlier named in Spain’s 22-man squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Belarus. He has made 9 appearances this calendar year for both club and country.
