Chelsea goal keeper Peter Cech is suffering from a groin injury which will keep him out for up to three weeks. This will add more headache to interim manager Rafa Benitez following the defeat against Queen Park Rangers.
A scan on the Czech international’s groin confirmed that he will be out of action for three weeks.
Rafa Benitez tweeted about the injury, providing a medical update as: “Two or three weeks. We are quite optimistic.”
Cech couldn’t complete the match against Everton and Ross Turnbull featured in the QPR match instead of him. The injury news come as a huge blow for Chelsea as the substitute keeper failed to keep a clean sheet against the bottom side team, and they are already 14 points behind league leaders Manchester United.
