After Jordan, Syria and Maldives confirmed their participation in the Nehru Cup 2012 last week, Philippines are the latest team to join them in this upcoming mega event organised by the AIFF.
Filipino Football chief, Mariano Araneta revealed that the Azkals are looking forward to play against favourites like Jordan, Syria alongside host country India. They are participating in this tournament as a part of their preparation for the Suzuki Cup, which will take place in November.
However, AIFF has also invited countries like Thailand, Costa Rica, Malaysia and African nations like Nigeria and Cameroon. None of these countries have replied so far.
