#4 Abdul Rahman Baba (Chelsea)
Age: 23
Position: Left-Back
Touted to be one for the future, Abdul Rahman Baba was signed for a sum of around 20 million pounds from Augsburg in the Bundesliga. After a breakout season for the Bavarian club, he was rated as one of the best full-backs in the Bundesliga.
Following a slow adaptation to the Chelsea squad, expectations were high and the Ghanaian's initial performances received plaudits from the Chelsea faithful.
Unfortunately, a costly mistake against Southampton during Chelsea's 2-1 loss to them in the 2015-16 season, marked the beginning of the end and the young full-back never fully recovered from this setback.
A loan move to Schalke followed, where Baba finally got some playing time. However, an untimely injury sustained during international duty, prematurely ended his loan-spell.
With Conte initially having ruled the young Ghanaian out for being too attack minded, it would be wise for him to look for a move elsewhere to escape stagnation in what looked like a career headed to the very top of the game.
Still only 23, his skill set and physical attributes are impressive. Under the right tutelage and given the necessary minutes on the pitch, he could yet develop and deliver what was expected of him.
Considering the lack of options at left wing-back for Chelsea, once fully recovered from his injury, Baba may still have a chance at Chelsea, but before then, it would be advisable to take another a temporary departure away from the Bridge to put his career back in motion.
