Manchester City powerhouse Yaya Toure is our Player of the Week for Matchday 37 after securing a double in his side’s 2-0 win over Newcastle.
The Ivory Coast international has been an ever-present figure in City’s title push this season, among others in the centre of midfield.
He has produced some very big performances throughout the course of the season, but one of his largest came on Sunday afternoon as City beat Newcastle 2-0.
And the former Barcelona powerhouse, brother of Kolo Toure, bagged an impressive brace as he increased his team’s chances of clinching the league title for the first time in 40 odd years.
His first goal was a curling shot from outside the box that beat Newcastle’s Tim Krul, and his second a well-placed effort that crashed into the back of the home side’s net.
