#3 Youssoufa Moukoko

Borussia Dortmund v Hertha BSC - Bundesliga

The second and last BVB player to make our list is Youssoufa Moukoko, who scored a ridiculous 141 goals in 88 games for the Dortmund U-17 and U-19 sides.

Moukoko scored on his Dortmund debut and became the Bundesliga's and the Champions League's youngest-ever player and also the German top flight's youngest goalscorer.

He made 15 appearances for BVB last season and scored three goals. In the limited minutes for his side, he has shown no fear, firing off 4.3 shots and completing 1.7 dribbles per 90 minutes.

With Sancho having departed, Dortmund may be a little short of goals, with Haaland scoring 19 more league goals than anyone else at the club. He is going to need help from Moukoko if Rose's men are to challenge for the league title.

#2 Pedri

FC Barcelona v RC Celta - La Liga Santander

12 months ago Pedri was a relative unknown in his homeland. He signed for Barcelona as a 17-year old and was expected to develop with the B team before attempting to break through.

But Ronald Koeman immediately integrated the youngster into the senior squad where he was a relevation.

He featured in all but one of Barcelona's La Liga fixtures, scoring three and setting up three more. Pedri would then become the youngest-ever Spaniard to play at the Euros, where he was named the 'young player of the tournament'.

He has already established himself as one of Europe's most exciting talents and could become one of the continent's most effective midfielders this season.

Pedri only put up 1.1 key passes a game for Blaugrana last season, which is a third of what Xavi was putting up at his peak.

Though the 18-year old is still some way from hitting that level, he surely won't be far from it given the talent surrounding him. Like Xavi, the youngster could be essential at Camp Nou for the next decade and beyond.

#1 Kai Havertz

Manchester City v Chelsea FC - UEFA Champions League Final

Havertz took his time to get rolling following his £72 million move from Leverkusen to the Stamford Brigde. However, there's no reason to think the young German international won't be Thomas Tuchel's go-to man this year.

Under Frank Lampard the 22-year-old spent time in central midfield, attacking midfield, right wing and centre-forward. But when Tuchel took over in January this year, Havertz played a more advanced central role.

He commented that his new coach was playing him in his perfect position. Completing more 90 minutes under Tuchel than he did under Lampard, Havertz has clearly started to enjoy his football and put in top-class performances.

His match-winning performance in the Champions League final is a prime example of this.

With Lukaku playing as the focal point in the side and Havertz playing in his preferred position, one can expect the youngster to return to the level that saw him contribute 39 goals in his final two seasons in the German top-flight.
