PORTO, Portugal (AFP) –
Joao Moutinho believes his Porto side can match and beat Paris Saint Germain in their Champions League Group A clash on Wednesday, which he described as a tight game.
“PSG have great players but so do we, and we’ll try and prove that we are better on the pitch,” said Porto’s star midfielder Moutinho.
“It’ll be a tight match against a great side,” he said.
Porto coach Vitor Pereira felt Porto’s best strategy was to stick to their own gameplan.
“If we play to our strengths, it’s a 50-50 thing, and we have every chance of both matching them and beating them,” he said.
Both sides have three points from matchday 1 wins with the Portuguese champions beating Dynamo Zagreb 2-0 and PSG winning at home 4-1 to Dynamo Kiev.
