Porto striker Jackson Martinez is set for talks with a number of clubs this week, including the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, after his representatives revealed that Colombian hit-man is in hot demand.
Jackson Martinez has been highly sought-after by a number of clubs across Europe after some brilliant performances for Porto this season. The Colombian striker has been a stand-out player in Europe and a number of clubs have expressed an interest in him in the past.
With Loic Remy a target to bolster Arsenal’s front-line, Martinez’s representatives has revealed that the Gunners are also interested in his client and the 27-year-old is also being chased by Manchester United.
Martinez, who is currently with the Colombia squad preparing for the World Cup, is set for showdown talks with clubs this week.
His representatives told reporters: “I am waiting for Jackson Martinez’s manager, Henrique Pompeio, to arrive in Italy tonight for a series of transfer meetings we’ll have together.
“It’s true, he will fly in tonight because we have some encounters to evaluate and find the right proposal for Jackson Martinez.
“We’ve got meetings set up with numerous European clubs, as he is of interest to Manchester United, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Valencia, but also important Italian sides.
“We believe Porto will happily do with a sum between €25m and €30m.”
