Portsmouth FC, a fourth tier team in English football, have signed L&S Waste Management to sponsor the South Stand at Fratton Park for the 2013/14 Football League Two season and Maxol Facilities Management as official safety steward sponsor.
Mick Balch, managing director of Hampshire-based L&S Waste Management, said: “Since I was around ten I have followed the journey Portsmouth Football Club have taken. We’ve all had highs and lows in the past years, but at L&S Waste Management just the same as at Pompey, we work hard and never give up trying.”
Paul Lomax, the managing director of Kent-based Maxol, said: “We are very proud to be the official safety steward sponsors of Portsmouth Community Football Club until the end of the 2015/16 season.
“It is extremely pleasing to have signed this three-year contract and the concept of a community club gave us an extra willingness to invest and show our support.
“The new safety wear will give a good professional impression to the home and visiting fans alike, as will the stadium improvements which are currently under way.
“Maxol FM has provided some essential works needed in Fratton Park free of charge to help get the stadium ready for the new season.”
