Portugal secured a commanding 3-0 win over Turkey on Saturday (June 22) to confirm their qualification for the Euro 2024 knockouts. The Iberian nation was commanding and ruthless in the game, and the result was confirmation of that fact.
Both teams came into the encounter with opening victories, but Roberto Martinez’s men were the better team in Dortmund. Goals from Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva and a comedic own goal from Turkey defender Samet Akaydin secured victory for the Portuguese.

The veteran defender looked like fine wine in possession and completed 97% of his passes to help his side maintain possession. Pepe was taken off in the 83rd minute after a fine performance that secured the win for his team.

It was a good performance from the PSG full-back. He secured his flank defensively and played a key part in the opening goal for Portugal.

The Fulham midfielder had a good match for Portugal. He didn't make any mistakes, completing all his passes before being taken off at half-time.
