Bale has had numerous battles with Chelsea over the years

Chelsea is set for a summer of turbulence, as the future of their manager and many of their players is under considerable doubt. Antonio Conte is rumoured to get the axe at Stamford Bridge despite winning the league title just a year ago.

Their talisman Eden Hazard has not signed a new contract yet and reportedly needs new signings to pledge his future to Chelsea. Bale certainly fits the bill and he would be able to complement Hazard or fill his void if the Belgian leaves.

The Blues endured a dour season by their standards and owner Roman Abramovich's ambition means that he will not hesitate to splash the cash. Bale lived in London during his time at Tottenham and settling in should not be a problem.

Hazard is one of Zinedine Zidane's targets as well so that could facilitate the Welshman's move. On the other hand, landing Bale could convince Hazard to stay which would create a formidable duo for next season.
