#26 Morocco
The North African team suffered heartbreak in their late defeat to Iran. Morocco started brightly with Nordin Amrabat, in particular, causing a lot of problems for the Iranians. However, as the game went by, they were unable to turn their good start into anything meaningful.
While the Moroccans did not deserve to lose their game, their attack promised so much in the game and did not really deliver. An exciting midfield with the likes of Ziyech, Belhanda and Harit had little influence on the game. It was the Moroccan fullbacks who were a lot more dangerous.
#25 Korea Republic
The Asian giants have had better and more balanced sides in the World Cup. They weren't very convincing in their qualifying campaign. They started brightly in both halves in their world cup opener but faded away as the game went on. They lost 1-0 against Sweden in their World Cup opener and deservedly so.
They were a bit fortunate to not go behind in the first half as they were split open a few times by the Swedish. A tackle from Kim Min-Woo on Victor Claeson in the box was adjudged as a foul by the referee with help from the VAR system. The Koreans had no reply to the goal as their attackers rarely threatened Sweden.
Heung Min Son was a bit disappointing and never got into dangerous areas like he usually does for Spurs in the Premier League. Kim Shin Wook's height and aerial prowess never really came into play as the Koreans struggled to bring their wide players into the game.
The Koreans rarely showed the determination that their Asian counterparts Australia and Iran have shown thus far. In doing so, they missed a golden opportunity to put themselves in a strong position after Germany's loss.
