Cesare Prandelli admitted he doesn’t always understand errant striker Mario Balotelli but insisted it wasn’t a problem.
Balotelli’s club coach Roberto Mancini said last season that it was impossible to understand the mad-cap 21-year-old.
But his Italy counterpart said it was merely a generational issue rather than a difficulty tuning into his temperamental star’s wavelength.
“I don’t have any difficulties but I am curious to understand a 21-year-old,” said Prandelli.
“From his behaviour to his mentality, he’s radically different from us.
“But there’s no difficulty in communication, just the curiosity to know the emotions a 21-year-old can have, and what sacrifices he can make to become a great player.”
