As the Premier League enters its final weeks, Manchester City have seemingly cruised to glory this season. Pep Guardiola’s side have created a huge gap between themselves and every other team with their unbelievable performances this season. This might be one of the most one-sided seasons in recent history as even the nearest rivals Manchester United are an astonishing 16 points behind the leaders.Certain players have failed to live up to the hype surrounding them and haven’t justified their managers' faith in them. Some of these players are going through their first seasons in English football and hence they are still adapting to the nature of the league. However, others have been playing in the league for a while and their performances have attracted criticism.Without further ado, here is a look at ten of the most disappointing players in the Premier League this season.Note: All stats are as of 30 March 2018#10 Victor Lindelof: Manchester UnitedLindelof has been prone to regular defensive errorsManchester United’s first signing of the summer, Victor Lindelof has been highly rated ever since his time at Benfica. Comfortable with the ball at his feet, he is adept at playing the ball out from the back. He also helps the team to build the attacks from deep inside with his composure and passing ability.Initially, he was expected to collaborate with Eric Bailly at the heart of the defence but the Swede was given time to adapt to the nature of the Premier League. His league debut came against Huddersfield Town as a substitute for Phil Jones.Within the first 20 minutes, Lindelof committed two huge errors that gave the Terriers a two-goal advantage quite early in the game. Ever since then, he has made subtle improvements but not enough to convince the gaffer to give him a regular starting spot.Lindelof’s first season in English football would not be much memorable, for sure. He has made just 12 appearances in the Premier League so far and has been largely used as a backup for Phil Jones.
