The Argentinean drops down to second place at the start of May because of a slight dip in form in April. Aguero could only manage one goal from 4 games in the month. As such, the competition has caught up with him. The Argentinean has the same number of goals as Sadio Mane but has a better goals per game ratio which sees him finish higher in this list.
Aguero missed the first game of the month against Cardiff City with a thigh injury. He returned to action against Crystal Palace, but failed to score in three consecutive games. He finally found the back of the net against Burnley last weekend, scoring the only goal in a narrow 1-0 win. It was a goal that kept his side firmly in the title race and showed the pedigree of the Manchester City striker.
The Argentinean has scored 20 goals from 31 games so far and has also picked up 8 assists this season. He is currently averaging a goal every 115 minutes played. Since he’s just a goal behind the man at the top, Aguero still has a good chance of securing his second Premier League Golden Boot at the end of this season.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
