The English Centre-Back is a regular starter for his national team and has emerged as one of the most promising young players of English football in the last couple of seasons. He has exceptional man-marking skills and wonderful anticipation. Stones has been a mainstay in the City defense in the last couple of seasons and replaced Nicolas Otamendi in the starting eleven.
However, Stones would have to improve his distribution skills to become an even better defender. He would also have to be a bit retrospect before going for full-fledged tackles. He remains one of the more consistent and reliable performers of the league.
