Alexis Sanchez
The Chilean international has had a good outing in the pre-season tour by scoring two goals. He showed signs of the ruthless forward he was at Arsenal. This should give him a huge confidence boost heading into the new season. Sanchez is also a mobile player who can cleverly slip behind the opposition defence and look for goal-scoring opportunities. He has a point to prove to United supporters as Mourinho himself touted him to succeed this season after only joining in January.
Juan Mata
Although a more central attacking midfielder, Mata could start on the right wing and look for creative passes into the box. He has good control of the ball and a brilliant passer of the ball. He should the chief creative force for United on Friday as he links up well with other offensive players.
He has in the past shown great ability to time his runs and clinical in front of goal. Although he typically never finishes the full 90 minutes, he is expected to make the most of his time on the pitch.
