Defenders:
Left-back: Ben Chilwell
Leicester came back from a goal down to beat Huddersfield and Chilwell impressed at the King Power Stadium. The young full-back is renowned for his attacking inputs and he displayed the same again.
He made 5 key passes, which was more than any other player in the game. Other than that, he won 6 aerial duels, made 2 tackles and completed 1 dribble. It was an all-around display from the England international as he continues to impress and improve consistently.
Center-back: Joel Matip
Joe Gomez has been sensational for Liverpool this season but Jurgen Klopp rested the youngster against Southampton and Matip played his first minutes of the season.
He put in an accomplished display, which included a well-taken headed goal from a corner in the first half which set the Reds on course for the win. The Cameroon international made 3 interceptions, own 6 aerial duels and had most touches in the game.
Matip's performance will surely give Klopp a welcome option in defense as the fixtures pile up.
Center-back: James Tarkowski
Burnley recorded their first win a season after defeating Bournemouth, a game in which their attack took the plaudits. But their backline performed well as well, keeping an in-form Bournemouth attack at bay.
Tarkowski was solid as ever, and the stats show it. He made 7 clearances, 3 interceptions, 2 blocks, 4 tackles and won 5 aerial duels. These are mammoth numbers across the board and they were crucial in Burnley clinching the clean sheet on the way to a valuable three points.
Right-back: Aaron Wan-Bissaka
If you play Fantasy Premier League, you'll know him as an absolute legend, but reality also shows that he is a really good player.
The youngster put in a solid performance against Newcastle, completing 5 tackles, 4 dribbles, 3 interceptions, and 2 blocks. His ability on both the ends was visible once again, and his ceiling is sky high.
He has firmly nailed down the right-back spot at Palace and you wouldn't bet against him doing the same for England a couple of years down the line.
